Reissue confirmed! The "Trium," the giant bird that supports daily life in "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," is now a three-dimensional figure!
"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," the manga written by Hayao Miyazaki for Animage magazine and later adapted into an animated film directed by himself. In the story, the Trium is an essential means of transport for people across the vast Sea of Corruption and deserts that emerged after the "Seven Days of Fire" destroyed civilization. Takayuki Takeya has arranged this creature using the Jizai Okimono concept. These birds grew larger than a human, lost their flight ability, and developed robust legs, allowing them to run like horses while carrying people and cargo, leading to a symbiotic relationship with humans. They are highly intelligent and, in particular, are very accustomed to the protagonist, Nausicaä, with many scenes depicting their emotional bond.
In the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono, the creature's distinct features—such as its large, bulbous beak, long neck, and well-developed legs—are captured in three dimensions. The sculpt is enhanced with intricate details like fine feathers, leg scales, claws, ethnic equipment, and adorable eyes and tongue. Great attention was paid to the articulation as a Jizai Okimono; after much trial and error with the 41 points of articulation, their range of motion, and pose stability, the result is a figure you can actually hold and move to recreate scenes from the original manga and animated film. Experience the many iconic Trium scenes right in your own hands.
- 41 points of articulation throughout the body. The neck features a structure with 9 ball joints covered by 8 segmented feather parts, allowing for free movement. You can pose it with its head raised high as if neighing, or stretched straight out as if sprinting. The large, bulbous beak can open and close, and a tongue is included inside.
- The legs have 13 points of articulation each, supporting a wide variety of poses. The toes feature full articulation on the first and second joints of the three front claws, allowing you to recreate everything from the bird firmly gripping the ground to powerfully kicking off to sprint.
- The Trium is equipped with reins, stirrups, a saddle, and leg guards, with each part rendered to reflect different material textures. It can be combined with the separately sold "Takeya-style Jizai Okimono: Tolmekian Armored Soldier" by swapping in the included waist joint parts to allow the soldier to ride the Trium.
- Includes a sword with a fan-shaped tip for the Tolmekian Armored Soldier, a dedicated scabbard, and a display stand.
