Takeya-style Jizai Okimono Tolmekian Soldier Kushana's Bodyguard Ver. [Reissue]

"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," the masterpiece written by Hayao Miyazaki and adapted into a film by the author himself, left an indelible mark on the history of animation. The Tolmekian soldiers, who serve as the elite guard for Princess Kushana—the commander of the Tolmekian army that suddenly invades the Valley of the Wind—are now brought to life as action figures in the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono series. Takayuki Takeya has redesigned this heavy armor, which resembles Western plate armor but is described as being made of ceramic in the story. By incorporating ideas and designs from the original manga alongside the animation settings, the figure achieves the realism of authentic, existing armor. The addition of decorative details and refined shaping evokes the dignity befitting a member of the elite guard. The figure faithfully reproduces the Tolmekian soldier's characteristic proportions—somewhat stout yet possessing a rugged strength capable of deflecting enemy attacks. The articulation is highly advanced; the multi-layered armor is cleverly segmented, and joints are strategically placed to allow for dynamic poses, such as swinging swords and axes as seen in the film. The set includes a sword carried at the side, a battle axe, and a large shield, allowing for the recreation of various combat scenes from both the animation and the original manga.

• The armor's coloring is rendered with a metallic finish, creating a sense of weight and gravitas befitting heavy armor.
• Movable axes are provided for the shoulder and neck plates, ensuring a structure that does not hinder posing.
• Detailed elements such as the fasteners for securing the armor and the gambeson (protective jacket) worn underneath are meticulously represented.
• Details from the original manga, such as the belt for suspending the greatsword and the practical pouch placement, have been recreated.
• The chainmail worn around the waist is segmented and articulated, allowing for a wider range of leg movement than its appearance suggests. The tassets (kusazuri) at the front of the waist also feature movable bases.
• While the cape is a fixed type prioritizing shape, it is articulated at the base to enhance dramatic posing.
• The handles of the axe and sword feature shapes and details confirmed in the original manga. The blade of the axe even incorporates details that hint at its manufacturing process.
• The large shield reproduces the pop-out claw gimmick seen in the original manga, allowing for both deployed and retracted states.
