Following the Tolmekian Armored Soldier and the Horseclaw, the latest addition to the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" series features the soldiers fighting on the front lines of the "Dorok Principality Alliance," a powerful multi-ethnic nation that rivals the Tolmekia Kingdom in the original manga. Specializing in guerrilla warfare such as night raids, they are recognized even by Kushana as excellent warriors within the story. Their appearance, featuring ethnic mask-like helmets and miasma masks, reflects a unique culture and style. For the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono, Takayuki Takeya has analyzed Hayao Miyazaki's original manga and color illustrations to arrange a design that blends indigenous ethnic styles with processing techniques inherited from an advanced ancient civilization. Yukio Fujioka was in charge of the sculpting. The color scheme emphasizes an ethnic feel by boldly placing red and blue while keeping the overall tones muted. The sense of arrangement by Mr. Takeya, which makes one wonder at first glance whether it is fictional or real, can be said to have a high affinity with the world of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind". It has become a figure of a Dorok soldier with a strong presence that conveys that each individual is a living human being, even if they are common soldiers.
The figure of the Dorok soldier, wearing grotesque armor over his entire body, has been turned into an articulated figure with a unique arrangement. A wide range of motion is maintained, including forward and backward shoulder swings and the movement of the kusazuri (tassets) around the waist made of soft materials. The sculpting, which realistically expresses the human body wearing armor even within the imaginary design, is a must-see, and the exquisite finish ensures that natural proportions are not lost even when moved.
Line them up with the currently available Tolmekian soldiers and Horseclaws to recreate battle scenes between the Tolmekia Kingdom and the Dorok Principality Alliance! The handheld weapons include a large rifle equipped with a bayonet and a curved sword similar to a Japanese katana. It incorporates details that emphasize realism while capturing the depictions from the original work. The sword can be stored in the scabbard worn at the waist by swapping the hilt.
