From the 'ANIMALS' series by sculptor Atsuhiko Misawa, this is a pre-painted soft vinyl finished model of the 'Bear', an iconic piece within the collection.
A masterpiece crafted with meticulous attention to detail, including volume, pose, and coloring, developed through repeated consultations with Atsuhiko Misawa based on his original work.
Using digital sculpting technology, we have precisely recreated not only the overall form but also the chisel marks and scroll-touch textures.
Available in three colors: Spirit Bear, Grizzly, and Moon Bear. Each colorway is brimming with originality.
Includes a tag with a serial number. Each version is delivered in limited quantities.

■ Artist Profile
Atsuhiko MISAWA, Sculptor
Born in Kyoto in 1961. Completed his Master's degree in Sculpture at the Tokyo University of the Arts in 1989. Began creating the wooden animal sculpture series 'Animals' in 2000. Held solo exhibitions at Nishimura Gallery (Tokyo) starting the same year. Held a traveling exhibition at five museums nationwide, including the Hiratsuka Museum of Art, from 2007-08. Recent solo exhibitions include 'Animal House: The Mysterious Mansion' (Shoto Museum of Art, Shibuya) in 2017, 'Animals in Yokosuka' (Yokosuka Museum of Art) in 2018, 'Animals in Toyama' (Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art) in 2018, 'Animals in Abeno Harukas' (Abeno Harukas Art Museum, Osaka) in 2020, 'Animals in Toyohashi' (Toyohashi City Museum of Art and History, Aichi) in 2021, 'Animals in Kitakyushu' (Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art, Fukuoka) in 2021, and 'Animals in Nagaoka' (The Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art) in 2022. Major awards include the 20th Hirakushi Denchu Award in 2001 and the 41st Nakahara Teijiro Prize in 2019. Numerous art books published. Currently a specially appointed professor at Musashino Art University. Resides in Kanagawa Prefecture.
