The first plastic model kit release! Construct the grotesque Evangelion, Provisional Unit-05. From "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance", Evangelion Provisional Unit-05 joins the ARTPLA lineup! This is a fixed-pose plastic model kit inspired by the activation scene at Bethany Base at the beginning of the film, where it challenges the 3rd Angel to a duel. The kit is based on a 3D scan of the "animation reference model" created by sculptor Akira Tani, which was used as a reference for the animation production process, and also served as the master model for action figures. The size has been increased to improve detail reproduction and ease of assembly. Furthermore, shapes that could not be fully reproduced at the time have been updated for this plastic kit. The shape of the pantograph equipped on the shoulder armor has been adjusted to match the setting drawings, resulting in a more precise finish. You can choose to build either the "in-movie model" or the "animation reference model" for the head shape and the Spear of Longinus (pseudo-restored type) that actually appear in the film. The molding color is grey-green, which is the image color of Provisional Unit-05. Includes one decal sheet.
